Focus on Energy – Design Assistance

The new Focus on Energy Design Assistance Program has launched. The program provides design professionals, builders and developers of new buildings in Wisconsin whole building analysis of energy-saving options for a new building during the design phase. The program also offers owner incentives to reduce the upfront cost of high efficiency measures that exceed Wisconsin codes and standards.

YEA 2012 Social Event

The ASHRAE Wisconsin chapter YEA group is hosting a networking and social event on Wednesday, December 19th from 6-9PM. Please come to meet your engineering peers and learn how to get the most out of ASHRAE. The event will be held at Trinity Three Irish Pub, and the chapter will be providing food and drink.

YEA is focused on bringing together students and engineers aged 35 and younger, but all are welcome to attend.

Trinity Three Irish Pub is located in downtown Milwaukee at 125 E Juneau Ave.

January 2013 Program

This month’s program is a Wisconsin Building Code refresher with Randy Dahmen at MSOE Todd Wehr Auditorium. The presentation is from noon to 1:00PM on January 17th. Check-in starts at 11:45.

Randy will discuss changes, frequently asked questions, and common interpretations of the Wisconsin Commercial building code. Randy will specifically touch on the mechanical, energy and fuel gas codes. He will also take time answer questions and listen to concerns about the code.

The Todd Wehr Auditorium is located at 1025 N. Broadway, Milwaukee WI.
