2018 November Program

Presentation by Tim Wentz

The Wisconsin Chapter of ASHRAE is proud to announce that on Thursday, November 15th, Tim Wentz will be presenting on: “Back to the Future: Our Industry in 2030”.

Tim is an Associate Professor of Construction Management at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he teaches a wide spectrum of courses, including environmental systems, mechanical estimating, mechanical project management, professional practice/ethics and the senior capstone course. Tim’s professional focus is in teaching and undergraduate education, where he has participated in numerous committees and initiatives. He currently serves as an advanced team leader for the Peer Review of Teaching program, a College representative on the Student Success task force and is also currently chair of the College of Engineering Curriculum and Academic Standards Committee.

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Tim is the fourth generation to work for his family’s design/build mechanical contracting firm. He spent 19 years as a mechanical contractor immersed in design, project management, estimating and corporate leadership. He has been blessed with a wonderful family, led by his wife, Marsha, and their two children, Megan and Blake. Both Megan and Blake have developed into outstanding educators; Megan at Millard West High School and Blake at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Presentation Synopsis:

Back to the Future: Our Industry in 2030

This presentation will explore some of the emerging trends and technologies that will likely shape our future. As with any dramatic change, both danger and opportunity will manifest themselves, requiring us to create innovative, imaginative approaches to seize the opportunities.
