Pre-Game at Kelly’s Bleachers starting at 11am

We have 50 tickets. First 50 to respond via email to Mike Anderson at manderson@hydro-flo.com will get their free ticket. The tickets will be handed out at Kelly’s Bleachers on the day of the event.

2019 ASHRAE Golf Outing

The 18th Annual Mike Stram Open Golf Tournament is almost here and promises to be a day of fun and excitement.

We will be having the outing again at Chenequa Country Club on Monday, July 22nd. Reservations will be on a first come/first serve basis. We expect the outing to fill up rather quickly this year from the response last year and over the winter.

There will be golf, sit down lunch, dinner, door prizes, raffle and flag events.

2019 May Program

Refrigerants by Mike Thompson

The Wisconsin Chapter of ASHRAE is proud to announce that on Thursday, May 16, Mike Thompson will be presenting on: “Refrigerants”.

Mike Thompson is global director of refrigerant applications for Ingersoll Rand. In this role, Thompson is responsible for working with Ingersoll Rand’s climate businesses and customers to communicate the potential impact of future policies on products and markets. He also participates as an industry expert for low global warming potential refrigerant applications in the United Nations Montreal Protocol process.

Thompson has more than 27 years of experience with Trane and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry and earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.

We will cover the following topics:

■   Understanding global regulations and how the Montreal Protocol and the Kyoto Protocol and the recent Kigali Amendment on HFCs, and how this will impact the future of the HVAC industry

■   Understanding the phase out/phase down schedules of refrigerants, and the best way to plan for the future

■   Understanding how the issue of global climate change will impact the HVAC industry.

■   The economics of refrigerant choice – balancing capital against lifetime energy cost.

■   Learn about the next generation of refrigerants that are in development that minimize both the ozone impact, and the global warming impact of HVAC refrigerants.

2019 April Program

Presentation by Julian de Bullet

The Wisconsin Chapter of ASHRAE is proud to announce that on Thursday, April 18, Julian de Bullet will be presenting on: “Chiller Plant Design Fundamentals”.

Julian R. de Bullet, President of deBullet Consulting LLC, has over 40 years’ experience in the HVAC industry specializing in educational outreach in energy and refrigerants advocacy. He is a consultant for the Carrier Corporation team developing strategies for high performance buildings that are safer, smarter and sustainable.  

As ASHRAE Vice President (2001/2003), he served on the Society Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and was Chair of Member Council and Publishing Council. He is Past President of the ASHRAE National Capital Chapter and was Director and Regional Chair for ASHRAE Region III. 

He is an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer with over 400 technical seminars delivered around the world, an ASHRAE Life Member, and holds the ASHRAE Distinguished and Exceptional Service Awards.

Presently he is a member of Technical Committee TC8.2-Centrifugal Chillers and TC2.5-Global Climate Change.

Julian has a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Marketing.
